About KN Cyber
A research firm that already practices security.
To advance cybersecurity through applied research, responsible innovation, and technologies that improve security assurance and digital trust.
KN Cyber is based in Clark, New Jersey. The firm was founded in 2023 to give organizations practical cybersecurity leadership. That advisory work remains the established part of the business.
The firm is now organized around a longer arc: industry problems inform applied research, research is tested with academic and industry collaborators, and resulting intellectual property is protected and licensed. KN Cyber stays the commercial entity that directs its research portfolio.
Our team includes security analysts, auditors, and security leaders with experience in consulting firms, global financial institutions, and military service. We publish what is established, what is in research, and what is still a proposal. We do not describe partnerships, grants, or products that do not exist.
How the firm is organized
Three functions, one company
| Function | What it does |
|---|---|
| Research & innovation | Investigate cybersecurity problems, prototype approaches, and prepare work that can be validated with research partners. |
| Technology & IP | Protect inventions, keep clear records, and license technologies to companies that can carry them into products. |
| Advisory | Security leadership, governance, product security, and cloud and AI security for operating organizations. |
Where we work
Clark, and wherever the research fits.
University outreach starts with institutions whose research matches the programs, including in New Jersey: NJIT, Rutgers, Stevens Institute of Technology, Princeton, and Rowan. Those are prospective conversations, not announced partnerships. Work outside New Jersey is welcome when the research fit is stronger.
