Technology & intellectual property
Built to be licensed.
KN Cyber develops cybersecurity technologies for licensing and commercialization. The firm does not operate APSOS™ as a commercial SaaS product, so future licensees are collaborators rather than competitors.

Who licensing is for
Cybersecurity software vendors, cloud providers, enterprise technology companies, AI platform developers, and managed security service providers. A conversation can start before a technology is ready to license. Implementation detail and unpublished claims are not shared on this website or through the public form.
What is in the portfolio today
Two research programs are public. Neither is offered as a finished product.
- APSOS™ — continuous product security assurance
- APSOS™ Runtime & Trust — monitoring for autonomous AI systems
A provisional patent application has been filed for subject matter related to the original APSOS™ work. That filing does not, by itself, cover later AI runtime research. Patent-pending language on this site is limited to what a pending application actually claims.
University work and ownership
Joint research can change who owns new inventions. Before substantive collaboration, agreements need to cover background IP, foreground IP, publication review, confidentiality, licensing, and who prosecutes patents. Federally funded inventions may also be subject to Bayh–Dole obligations. KN Cyber does not assume it will automatically own inventions developed with a university.
